My name is
Jeff Matthew and I’ve been a high school teacher since 1995,
currently I teach Advanced Algebra. Several years ago I was approached
by the Stanislaus County Office of Education to design and teach a
preparation course for the CSET Mathematics Exam (at the time called
the PRAXIS/SSAT Series). Over the years of teaching and refining this
class, I have had the satisfaction of seeing many teachers pass the
exams and earn their credentials. Several have commented that these
practice books were the key to their success and should be made available
online so that others can get the same help.
Those suggestions helped bring about the founding of CSETMath.com. It is a collaborative
effort with Dave Zylstra, another County Office CSET instructor and high school
math teacher.
Our primary goal is to help prospective teachers get credentialed and satisfy
the CCSS requirements. But our secondary goal is to help you master the mathematics
content knowledge that will help you to be successful in the classroom.
